Do something different one evening and take a trip into the Atlas Mountains to Kasbah Africa for dinner with the Berbers. Just over an hour from the ‘Red City’, Kasbah Africa really feels like it is a world away. Built on the slopes of the fertile Azzaden Valley, facing Takerkhort Wildlife Reserve, the Kasbah enjoys a dramatic position on a bend above a fast-flowing mountain river. All times of day are beautiful at the Kasbah, but it is the evenings that are really special.

When the birds stop chirping the cicadas break into song to create a unique background sound for an evening under a starlit sky (weather permitting). For much of the year dinner is served in the dining area under the willow trees. Here you will be warmed by the heat from a roaring fire and serenaded by a local group of Berber musicians. Each playing a traditional musical instrument they sing songs of local life and love.

After a delicious dinner and a spot of star-gazing through one of Kasbah Africa's telescopes it is time to make the return journey to your accommodation in Marrakech. Subject to room availability you could always choose to stay longer and spend the night!
